Forest Floor - November 24
November is one of my favorite months of the year - it’s got Thanksgiving, my sister’s birthday, and some of the gloomiest weather, which I long for most of the year! It’s the month that signals the beginning of slowing-down time and rest. Of coziness and brisk walks, where the forest floor is filled with the gorgeous tans and browns you see in this piece. And root vegetable in EVERY dish. :)
I created this piece with hand-dyed and commercial papers, birch bark, a small piece of mica, silk strippings paper, and real locust leaves. It comes framed in an 8×10” walnut effect frame.
