Forest Floor - August 24
This Forest Floor collage reminds me of the waning days of summer, when the greens deepen and the foliage begins its change to greenish-yellow. August 24 seemed like a nice date for that to happen, at least in Wisconsin. :)
This piece was made with hand-dyed papers and fabrics, silk stripping, yarn, scrim, machine embroidery, and real bits of weather-beaten wood. It measures 8”W x 10”W, and it matted to 5”W x 7”H. It comes in a wood-grain looking frame that can be hung or placed on a flat surface like a shelf or mantel.
