This 3×5” collage was created using hand-dyed silk stripping (the raw silk from cocoons), silk ribbon, hand-dyed scrim, machine embroidery, and hand stitching. There is also a bit of an old crocheted piece from a yarn scrap pile.
This collage is framed in black, and can be hung or placed on a shelf. I call it “August 30” because the colors remind me of those rich greens that happen right before the change to fall, and those yellows that are starting to appear in the forest.
