This 3×5” collage was created using hand-dyed and commercial papers, rust-dyed paper, hand-dyed silk stripping, hand-dyed scrim,and chenille yarn scraps, plus a bit of real birch bark. It comes with a chunky black frame that is easily hung or placed on a shelf or table.
I feel like you might be able to smell this piece if you tried hard! You know that smell - the forest is waking up! There’s a lot of white and cream in this piece, so it’s still technically winter, but there are signs that in about a month or so, the first plants will start to peek out. It’s about 40º F and a beautiful day for a hike!
